James Gibson

James A. Gibson was the Dean of Arts and Science at Carleton before leaving in 1964 to become President of the newly founded Brock University.

Professor James A. Gibson was President Emeritus at Brock University in St. Catherines, Ontario until his death in 2003. Before coming to Carleton, Gibson worked for the office of Prime Minister William Mackenzie King, for the keeping of War records and as the external affairs liaison officer. The collection consists of graphic and textual records created, used and accumulated by Dr. Gibson during his time at Carleton University and for the Prime Minister’s Office.
